Wood harvesting in Vietnam was formed very early and has it a long history. Originating from the need to live, people initially used wood to build houses and make household items and labor tools in rural communities. During the feudal period, dynasties established rules to manage, and protect forest resources and regulate wood harvesting. With the fluctuations of the industrialization period in the 20th century, the demand for wood increased significantly, leading to logging becoming an important industry, dragto the problem of indiscriminate exploitation and ecological imbalance becoming increasingly serious.

Currently, facing the challenge of forest protection and sustainable timber management, improving and managing forest resources, and conserving important forest ecosystems are being emphasized more than ever.

How has the wood market penetrated life?

Application of wood in daily true-to-life

  • Furniture and decoration

Interior manufacture includes tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, shelves, partitions, flooring, table tops, wall panels, etc., and making picture frames, household items, kitchen utensils such as cutting boards, spoons, forks, food trays, etc. From wood, products such as plywood, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and more can be created.

  • Construction

Making building materials, house frames, floors, windows, or landscape construction projects such as bridges, fences, gardens, etc.

  • Tools and equipment

The main raw material for making many types of traditional tools and manual equipment such as hammers, shovels, and gardening tools.

  • Toys, teaching aids

Professionals and parents trust wooden products because of their convenience and safety when used, from simple wooden blocks to more complex items and models.

  • Handicrafts

Sculptures, wooden jewelry, and other art products all go through meticulous processes by skilled craftsmen. More preciously, there are traditional craft villages that make handicrafts to serve the local, domestic, and export markets.

  • Energy

Wood is also used to produce biofuels such as wood pellets. At the same time, it can be considered as an energy source through burning to generate heat.

  • Recycling and creativity

Recycling and reusing to create new products, from decorative items to furniture and art objects, is currently a trend and style of those who prioritize maintaining the sustainability of the items they own.

It would be listless and dull without wood because it accompanies people without distinction of age, family background, or anything else, as long as we believe in and cherish it as a priceless material.
