Surface Grade Classification
Grade A
Sapwood limited to 10% of the stave. No dead knots, sound knots, bark encasement, or heartwood spots. Preferred for premium, appearance-focused applications.
Grade B
Sapwood permitted up to 30% of the stave. Dead knots below 5 mm and sound knots up to 20 mm. Dark streaks and small fine black streaks may occur.
Grade C
Sapwood and heartwood with visible natural variation are permitted. Black streaks, lines, and dots may appear, with large black lines and dots allowed up to 100 mm. Suitable for hidden or secondary-use applications.
Surface grade requirements are subject to approved reference samples and agreed product specifications for each wood species.
Solid Wood Board Manufacturing from Sawmill to Container Loading
01. Sawmill & Wood Preparation
Logs are processed at the sawmill into workable wood staves based on the required dimensions and intended applications. The sawn material is sorted and prepared for kiln drying, helping establish a consistent starting point for solid wood board production.
02. Kiln Drying & Moisture Control
Wood staves are kiln dried under controlled conditions to reach the moisture range required for production. Once drying is completed, the material is transferred to indoor storage and checked before moving to the next manufacturing stage. Proper moisture control supports the stability of finished solid wood boards.
03. Wood Stave Selection & Board Assembly
Dried wood staves are selected according to species, grain pattern, color, dimensions, and surface grade requirements. Suitable staves are arranged, edge glued, and pressed to form wider solid wood boards. This stage helps achieve the required panel construction and appearance for each product program.
04. Surface Sanding & Finishing
Assembled solid wood boards are sanded to achieve the required thickness and surface smoothness. Depending on the customer's specifications, the boards may be supplied unfinished or with an approved oil, UV, or PU finish. Surface appearance, dimensions, and finishing quality are checked before packing.
05. Inspection, Packing & Container Loading
Finished solid wood boards undergo final quality inspection before being packed for shipment. Packaging can be customized for wholesale distribution, retail presentation, or OEM programs. The products are then secured and loaded into containers for export to international markets.
