ISO 14067
At SSR VINA, minimizing our carbon footprint is central to our sustainable development strategy.
Recognizing the environmental impact of wood production and export activities, we are committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our entire product lifecycle – from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to transportation and end-use.

Deforestation and unsustainable forest management contribute significantly to carbon emissions. In Vietnam, forests play a crucial role in carbon sequestration, yet poor management practices have led to increased CO₂ release. To combat this, SSR VINA sources wood exclusively from sustainably managed forests that comply with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards, ensuring responsible forestry while maintaining carbon absorption capacity.
Wood processing can be a major source of emissions if outdated technologies are used. Studies indicate that implementing energy – efficient solutions in manufacturing can cut carbon emissions by 15–20%. SSR VINA prioritizes modern, energy – efficient equipment and optimized production methods to lower CO₂ output while also improving cost efficiency.
Transportation accounts for approximately 20% of Vietnam’s total carbon emissions, with road transport being the largest contributor. To address this, SSR VINA partners with logistics providers that use fuel-efficient vehicles, optimizing routes and supply chain operations to reduce environmental impact.
Our Roadmap
As part of our commitment to transparency and measurable carbon reduction, SSR VINA is actively working towards ISO 14067 certification, the global standard for quantifying the carbon footprint of products. While we anticipate full certification in the near future, our goal is to achieve compliance by 2025 – 2030, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable practices.
By integrating responsible sourcing, energy -efficient production, and sustainable logistics, SSR VINA continues to lead the way in reducing the environmental impact of the wood industry – ensuring a greener future for generations to come.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
As a leading company in the solid wood industry, SSR VINA recognixes the critical importance of environmental protection. We prioritize sustainability by exclusively using wood that is certified by the FSC or holds other relevant certifications. This ensures that our products are sourced from responsibly managed forests, guaranteeing that the wood comes from renewable and sustainable sources.
By adhering to these rigorous standards, SSR VINA actively contributes to the preservation of forest ecosystems and the promotion of ethical forestry practices. Our commitment not only addresses the growing demand for environmentally friendly products but also provides our clients with peace of mind, knowing that their choices support responsible resource management and contribute to a greener future.
FSC ensures that wood and wood – based products are harvested, processed and consumed responsibly protecting forest ecosystems and respecting the rights of local communities and workers. FSC certificated sustainable forest management significantly reduces negative impacts on biodiversity and promotes natural forest regeneration, making it a vital tool for environmental protection.
At SSR VINA, we consider FSC certification a testament to our unwavering commitment to protecting natural resources and the environment.
This certification not only allows us to meet stringent international sustainability standards but also facilitates entry into key markets like Europe and North America, where eco – conscious products are highly valued. Beyond economic benefits, FSC certification enables SSR VINA to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste and ensure transparency across the supply chain.
